Making a podcast like this is still relatively new for me, but overall I found the skills needed to make one simple and useful. While I do not consider myself as a tech savvy person, the programs used for making this(Audacity, iMovie) were user friendly in my opinion. I think one difficulty was trying to keep a good pace between the pictures and audio. Also, I am not used to hearing my own voice. The biggest difficulty actually was adding the closed captions through YouTube. I never realized there were specific file types that you had to use, and then I had to adjust the timing of the captions manually.

I will say that once I started working I did not find myself wanting to stop. I was constantly re-watching just so that I could catch anything I could adjust. I wanted to make sure that my work was as clean as possible, for someone who is editing a video this much in depth for the first time.

I think a podcast project can be incorporated into the classroom as a research project or maybe as a way for students to become more comfortable with talking about their own work. This would also introduce them to audio and video editing skills that they can use
